On reviewing ‘B&B Hereford’ and other accommodation in Hereford, basic similarities occur throughout. From Hotels and Inns to Guest Houses and Bed & Breakfasts the basic criteria is offered. Clean well appointed rooms with en-suite or private bathrooms, a choice of beverages on a tray in the rooms and a television. A lounge. A breakfast room. Nothing extra, everything is in it’s place.
Three Park Street is a B&B Hereford which offers that something extra. A welcome in the true sense of the word and a very warm one at that. Walk in through the door one feels like sighing with relief, an at-home atmosphere pervades that is impossible to buy and rare to find.
A few observations of the comparison to other B&B Hereford establishments.
The décor is far from pristine [it’s a quirkily built house of lath, plaster and mud!]. It’s an archive of the proprietor’s travels and of her family and friends. The lounge is a real lounge. By this I mean a working fireplace day and night when it’s a bleak cold winter time. The shelves on either side are filled with a library of books, films and magazines, an eclectic choice to suit all. A room where you would actually want to relax and spend a long evening in with one or two glasses of wine or malt, of reading uninterrupted.
The breakfast menu recalls breakfasts of old - kidneys and bacon, kedgeree kippers the ’full cooked’ souflee fluffy omelette tomatoes in olive oil and so on …..
Being a 1 bedroom B&B Hereford means one receives total bespoke care. One feels ’at home’ in the fantasy of being thoroughly looked after at home! Have breakfast in bed! Lie in, there’s no ‘Departure Time’!
The icing on this cake is the proprietor’s Massage Therapy Practice in the re furbished potting shed in the garden - experience one of the best massage treatments in the world!
Three Park Street is a jewel in anyone’s B&B Hereford comparison.
